feeder.ro sound exclusive premiere: YAMA Music To Release New EP titled ’T.A.L.K’ feat. Lizz [Yama Music Recordings] – YAMU009
The enigmatic duo behind YAMA Music has been crafting their unique sound for nearly a decade. Based in Essex, United Kingdom, YAMA Music also operates as a record label since 2018, releasing self-titled materials. The brainchild of Paul O’Connor and Lee Daines, YAMA Music emerged from a shared love for minimal and micro house. Their music, characterized by stripped-back rhythms, intricate minimal patterns, and cosmic vibes, has garnered acclaim across Europe.
YAMA Music is gearing up to unleash ‘T.A.L.K’ EP on March 21st, 2024, via the Essex producers’ self-titled imprint. This highly anticipated 3-track EP not only marks YAMA Music’s inaugural release of 2024 but also introduces the label’s first-ever remix in its 5-year history, courtesy of Romanian artist Lizz, premiered exclusively on feeder.ro.
Dubbed ‘T.A.L.K’ in fitting fashion, the EP maintains the quintessential YAMA Music essence, characterized by lo-fi chord progressions, quirky effects, and impeccable production. Yet, there’s a distinct warmth to ‘T.A.L.K’, evident in its snug pads and velvety synths that gracefully introduce the titular vocal. Despite this enhanced sonic palette, ‘T.A.L.K’ comfortably nestles within the minimal house genre.
The remix produced by Lizz injects a whole new dynamic. From the get-go, it’s an electrifying ride, with a fierce bass that relentlessly pirouettes around fast snares and lively claps the vocal sample is a distorted, mind-bending extension of the original, showcasing the transformative potential of remixes.
